Day 22

Assalamu alaikum!

It was great seeing everyone after a 4-day break.  We started off our day by doing some silent reading on the carpet, followed by French class with monsieur Said, the students worked on counting in French and they also worked on learning some new french vocabulary with actions.

During Quraan time, teacher Ibtissam introduced the children to the benefits of reading quraan through a very visual castle poster that represents their reward in jannah insha'Allah.  The students practiced ayas 1-4 of surat alkawthar.

During Arabic class teacher Salam read the children a story about a baqara cow, and then the students wrote the letter baa in their workbooks.

It was a rainy day today, so we did not get to go outside.  We reviewed the letters Ss, Aa, and Tt and read some simple words when we put them together in the words s-a-t, and a-t.

We did a visual demonstration of how germs spread from one person to the next, we did this by using glitter and we also demonstrated the proper way of washing hands.

It was very interesting seeing all the red items the children brought in! Masha'Allah the students did an excellent job presenting and describing their items.

We finished off the day working on our math booklets.  We learned the spelling of the number word z-e-r-o.

* Please remember the Scholastic book orders are due this week, if you plan on ordering some books for your child please do so before Friday.

* Here is the final copy of our schedule, insha'allah it will remain the same throughout the school year.

Have a great evening,

Safiah Aghliw
