Assalamu alaikum!
Today we started off our day with an Arabic class with teacher Salam, we worked on a fun arnab (rabbit) craft.
Please visit teacher Salam's blog entry: http://sk2.abraarschool.com/2015/10/arabic-letter-trsalam.html
We had fun talking about our breakfast choices at circle time, we also had fun comparing leaves and talking about the different textures and colours found in the leaves. The students got to further experiment with the leaves at the self-guided science centre.
During our phonics period practiced printing, and coloring in our Jolly Phonics book 1. For more phonics on the jolly phonics system, please visit http://jollylearning.co.uk/overview-about-jolly-phonics/ .
In math we are now working on AABB type of pattern, and we are doing this during our circle time.
During quraan time we practiced ayas 1-4 of surat attakathur.
In our Islamic Studies class we talked about Friday and its significance for us muslims and some of the great habits of the prophet pbuh (sunnahs) that were performed on Fridays. We also prayed two rakaas together. Thank you all for sending in hijabs and/or prayer rugs.
We ended our day with French class where we ended with the story of the three little pigs in French.
Have a great weekend!
