Updates & Reminders

Assalamu Alaikum!

In language, we took the letters Dd, and Mm.  We practiced sounding out, and had lots of fun with rhyming words!  We wrote "I am a buddy, not a bully" in our journal.

In math, we are learned to recognize number words "one" and "two".

In science we are discussed that matter comes in three forms: liquid, solid, and gas.  The students brainstormed examples of each, and insha'Allah we will continue to work and experiment on this unit for the next two weeks.

In Islamic Studies we are learning about the prophets in Islam.  We learned the story of the first prophet, Adam (AS).  This coming week we will be learning the story of prophet Nuh (AS).  We also learned the steps of wudu', thank you so much to all of you that have been sending in hijabs and prayer rugs with your children.

In gym class the students have gotten really good at following gym rules, and routines.  We played many different games and challenged ourselves with different warm ups!

In art the students had their chance to create their very own unique dinosaur out of the letter D!  They are now hanging beautifully in our hallway masha'Allah.

During our computer class the students got a chance to visit some of their favourite educational websites.  *Please remember to send in headphones with your child if you haven't done so already.*
