The first unit is: (TWHEED).
We are learning that Allah (SWT) is ONE. We learned that from surat al Iklas. The children will learn next week insha'Allah about shahada and that is the first pillar of Islam. We are going to learn that Allah (SWT) is the creator of everything. By the end of this unit, your child should understand that Allah is one, and be able to distinguish Allah’s creation from what man created through the materials that Allah has provided.

We’ve been practicing our oral counting. We learned number one. We learned that Allah (SWT) is one.The students had so much fun trying to find  number 1 in our classroom. Students practiced writing One in their math booklet.  For our calendar time, the kids are learning to count the days of the week by using the ordinal numbers.

The theme for this month is All About Me! The children will learn about their body parts in Arabic and to say full sentences about themselves. This week the students learned about the five senses. They learned this topic through an educational song. Please ask your child about it!

Show & Tell:
SK2 are doing a wonderful job in their show & tell. Insha’Allah we will continue this activity until the end of the year. The Show & Tell is a part of our week that we all look forward to. Children got to share some of their favourite shirts, and books with the class through the means of an oral presentation. Please remember to post your child’s Show & Tell on the fridge to remind him/her of the day they suppose to do their turn.

We integrated the different feelings/emotions topic with art. We made different faces using some art supplies. Please check out our bulletin board. The kids learned the names of the different feelings in Arabic through a beautiful educational song. Please ask your child about it!

Star of the Week:
We've had some shining stars in our SK2 classroom. Congratulations to the following students for being the most recent STARS OF THE WEEK: Zain and Zaid. We hope to see many more stars brightening up our SK2 classroom inshaAllah.

The stars of the week will be selected every Friday insha'Allah based on overall behavior throughout the week, homework completion, participation, and acts of kindness.
